The story of Wrangler Studios

A man, a mixing desk, and a dog. Wrangler’s story begins in December of 2012 when it was a blank, four-walled warehouse space hidden within the industrial scape of West Footscray. Within a short few years Wrangler Studios grew into one of the busiest all-ages live music venues and creative spaces in Victoria. Holding 100+ shows a year, ranging from a bands first show, to international instant sell out shows.

Bands that have graced the Wrang stage include: La Dispute (USA) Waterparks (USA), Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes (USA), Tiny Moving Parts (USA) Neck Deep (UK), Basement (UK), Jeff Rosenstock (USA) and home-grown talent like Trophy Eyes, Skegss, Lime Cordiale, Spacey Jane, Amyl & The Sniffers, Northeast Party House and Tkay Midza.
Check out our Youtube for some of the insane gigs!

As of 2025, we’ve left the gigs behind us. We’ve renovated, created a brand new space and developed a new recording studio.
We’re focusing on recording the next up and coming bands, offering live sessions & more.

Wrangler Studios is located on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge them as the traditional owners of this land and wish to pay respect to their Elders past, present and future as well as Elders of communities around Australia. We acknowledge that this land was never ceded nor a treaty signed.
